About This Item
The Rainbird Wireless Rain and Freeze Sensor System with 1 Controller Interface and 1 Sensor is an essential tool for any irrigation system. With its intuitive interface and advanced features, this sensor system is designed to help you save water and protect your plants from the elements. This wireless sensor system includes both a rain sensor and a freeze sensor. The rain sensor shuts off irrigation when it detects rainfall, preventing water waste and unnecessary watering.
On the other hand, the freeze sensor shuts off irrigation when the temperature drops below a set point, ensuring that your plants are not damaged by freezing temperatures. By using this sensor system, you can save up to 35% on water usage. It is also compatible with both Rain Bird and competitor 24VAC irrigation controllers, making it versatile and convenient for use with various systems. The adjustable rainfall settings allow you to customize the sensor's sensitivity to rainfall, ranging from 1/8 inch to 1/2 inch. Similarly, the adjustable low temperature settings range from 33 DegreeF to 41 DegreeF, allowing you to set the desired threshold for protection against freezing temperatures. The enhanced antenna array of this sensor system ensures superior signal reliability, even in areas with line-of-sight obstructions.
This means that you can rely on the system to accurately detect rainfall and freezing temperatures, providing you with peace of mind and efficient irrigation management. Please note that this sensor system is not compatible with Rain Bird ESP-SMT or ESP-SMTe smart controllers. In summary, the Rainbird Wireless Rain and Freeze Sensor System with 1 Controller Interface and 1 Sensor is a must-have for any irrigation system.
