The build quality of the synthesizer is better than expected for the price, and it's easy to use after reading the manual. The recent firmware update added a song mode and other new features, making it even more versatile. The built-in saturation and delay effects are also highly appreciated. Soundwise, the Analog Bass Synthesizer delivers on its promise. The resonance and cutoff have a wider range than other clones, the accents and slides are on point, and the square wave is perfectly usable. The real-time performance modifiers add a fun and interesting element to performances. The addition of a Windows app for pattern backup and updates is convenient, and a Mac version is also available. However, there are a few minor criticisms and wishlist items. The text around the buttons is difficult to read in low light conditions, and the LEDs could be coded to indicate different modifiers.
