svara: I have recently replaced a fan unit of the type you have purchased to my Dimplex Optimyst model OMWEC20. It is not difficult to replace the fan unit. Follow the provided steps to remove and replace the fan unit. -

svara: Because it is a rip off. The fire itself is way overpriced. -

My Mirabelle opti-myst when switch on the electric heating fan automatically comes in. Control batteries checked and on/off ok but heater carries on.
svara: I don't have this model but controls are all basically the same. Open the doors and inside there is a flap on the base, lift open and adjust your settings manually. Also, try turning off the fire at the mains and unplug for thirty seconds, then reconnect and turn it back on. It seems to reset the internal memory and fix most problems. -

svara: Hi, the fan stopped working I fitted a new fan. Same day, the transducer stopped, a new one. I have not got a replacement yet. Is it worth it? No, just making do with light on, fire is only 3 years old, the parts don't last long. -

Lights keep switching off on my optymyst fire. It's just a new transducer, so it can't be that. Any clues what would cause this?
svara: If you have replaced the transducer, make sure you have unplugged the fire from the plug socket and then plug it back in, this resets the electronics within the fire! Did you replace the whole unit or just the disk inside the transducer? If you only replaced the disk, then the transducer unit is probably faulty. Failing that, it might be the fan motor unit, try checking that it's working/spinning, it's very easy to replace. -
