    svara: The thermometer has an accuracy of ±1°C.

    svara: Yes, it is compatible with Android (version 4.4 or newer) and iOS devices.
  • spurningu: How far can the thermometer transmit its readings wirelessly?

    svara: The wireless range of the thermometer is 50 meters.
  • spurningu: What is the difference between the two models and is there a single probe model?

    svara: Not sure about 2 models but mine has the 2 probe and it works a treat carnt fault it you only need to use 1 probe at a time if you wish

    svara: Hi, you can download BBQ GO, also BBQ GO app also works on Inkbird other bbq thermometer model, like IBT-4XS and IBT-6XS. please send us message if you have any question.

    svara: yes both probes can be used individually, although one of mine broke after first use and shows about 20c higher as I got the wire wet when washing

    svara: Hi, Inkbird IBT-2X bluetooth bbq thermometer can compatible with ios and Android.
  • spurningu: Can this be used as a probe into meat? And to check inside bbq temp?

    svara: If it is the two probe version, then yes. I use it for that exact purspose- 1 for the BBQ temp. and 2nd for the internal meat temp. Using on a kettle BBQ, I have smoked turkey legs, brisket and beef rib to near perfection- in combination with the mobilephone app.
  • spurningu: Chicken preference? Is there a preference for chicken ie. Well done or medium or whatever?

    svara: For chicken it is important to reach 72 degrees centigrade…I don’t think you would see a recipe that gave options for ‘medium’ or ‘well done’, as you would with beef.
  • spurningu: Is the unit waterproof if I leave it side a smoker? And how can I monitor the temperature inside the smoker if there is a plastic elbow, won't it melt?

    svara: I prefer to pack mine back in the box and store it indoors so don't know about water resistance. I use mine for slow cooking and smoking mostly at low temps but have used it for open barbecue; I shield the plastic with some Al foil which keeps the heat off. I think if you put it in a kettle barbecue which was very hot then the plastic would probably melt; you just have to take care and keep it away from red-hot coals.
