Can you use a standard boss power supply with this?
svara: This requires a 9v centre negative power supply. Most pedal power supplies are centre negative these days. Check your Boss power supply, if it's suitable it should have a symbol like this: 9v (+)-C•-(-). The dot will be in the centre of the C but this is as close as I can get. -

svara: Your acoustic will need a pickup and an amp. The pedal will suppress the louder strings and make your sound 'tighter', giving you a better player. It also adds a bit of sustain. It's all down to your taste, so I suggest you go try one.
