Ahmet Arslan'ın beş ciltlik İlkçağ Felsefe Tarihi serisinin ilk cildinde, başlangıcından Sofistlere kadar olan dönem Yunan felsefesinin ortaya çıkışı, gelişimi ve belli başlı temsilcilerinin görüşleri üzerinden veriliyor. İkinci ciltte Sofistlerden başlayarak Sokrates, küçük Sokratesçi okullar ve Platon felsefesi ele alınıyor. Üçüncü cilt ise tümüyle, hem ortaçağ İslam felsefesi hem de geç dönem Hıristiyan ortaçağ felsefesi tarihi bakımından özel öneme sahip, Müslümanların İlk Öğretmen olarak nitelendirdikleri Aristoteles'e ayrılmıştır. Helenistik dönemin Epikurosçuluk, Stoacılık ve Septiklik diye bilinen üç okulu dördüncü cildin konusunu oluşturmakta.
