Upplýsingar um vöru
- Idle Dog is the book of the Iranian writer Sadık Hidayet, who has a well-deserved reputation all over the world with his novel Blind Owl, which best reflects both his attitude in literature in general and his pessimistic mood at the time. It was published in 1942, when the Second World War had the harshest and most intense impact on people. Therefore, all eight stories in the book consist of scenes showing that there is no happiness in the world anymore and that it is impossible to find it. In all of the stories he brings together, starting from the story that gives its name to the book, the author deals with the longing of the good days of the past, loneliness, and the tragic events experienced by individuals who are incompatible with the society they live in. Perhaps Sadık Hidayet describes himself in Aylak Dog from the very beginning and us in the same pessimism years later. With a sudden decision, he left home, never to return. He felt that he lived in an anxious world and had not the slightest connection with any of the past or present. It was far from all that was going on. Show more
