Windows Administration Editorial Review
The product in review, "Microsoft Windows Security Essentials 1st Edition," has elicited diverse opinions among its users, particularly those preparing for the 98-367 Security Fundamentals exam and related certifications. Many reviewers found the book easy to read and understand, with clear explanations that facilitate self-study. One user, who managed to pass the exam with a high score after a week of study, praised the book for its straightforward practice questions that helped build confidence in the material. However, there are notable criticisms regarding the book's comprehensiveness and current relevance. Some users pointed out that while the book provides a good foundation in security concepts, it is lacking in certain areas when compared to the exam content. For instance, several terms and topics covered in the exam were not included in the book, and the material only extends to Windows Server 2008, leaving gaps for newer technologies. Additionally, some readers felt that the practice questions could have been more challenging to better reflect the exam's complexity. Overall, while "Microsoft Windows Security Essentials" is appreciated for its clarity and foundational material, potential buyers are cautioned that it may not suffice as a standalone resource. Many reviewers suggest using this book in conjunction with more recent materials to prepare adequately for certification. **
