    svara: It does have a crimp. However all downspouts are not exactly the same size. What you will do is to take a needle nose pair of pliers put it in each one of the four corners and gently twist clockwise. This will give you as much crimp as you need based on how much you rotate those pliers.

    svara: Overall width is 8 inches, distance between both inlets is 2 inches, and both inlets and outlet are 3 inches.

    svara: If I understand your question, the 2x3 center to center inlet is 5 inches.

    svara: The top of the Y will accept the male ends of 2 2X3 inch downspouts, and the bottom will fit into the top end of a 2X 3 inch downspout. It's all made from the same size 2X3 inch tubing, but the difference between the male and female ends is that the male ends are crimed down in size so the fit into the uncrimped (female) ends.

    svara: I am no expert on this question but I would imagine it will not connect at the joint properly as vinyl is smooth the aluminum gutter system is crimped.
