- Axe was formed in 1977 out of the ashes of Babyface, a hard rock band burdened with a top 20 hit... but on the Adult Contemporary Charts. The melodic rock outfit was brought together by leader Bobby Barth who has led the charge through many ups and downs and now delivers Axe's aptly titled last record, Final Offering. Mixed by Mark Pinske (Frank Zappa, Steve Vie), mastered by Alan Douches (Yes, Fleetwood Mac, Pete Townshend, Mastodon) and pressed on 180g vinyl 2LP with a pair of acoustic bonus tracks, two inserts and liner notes from Bobby Barth. An awesome selection of great new original swan songs including single Land of Our Fathers.
