    svara: No, it's not needed to use the unit. This attachment is used for bleeding brakes. It's sold separate as an add-on and does not come with the unit.

    svara: It allows you to bleed the brakes, it is possible to bleed the brakes without it, but the on/off valve and the end link design for the bleeder screw makes it a lot easier and IMO worth purchasing the attachment.

    svara: Don't know, but the Griots' model looks identical to the Mityvac I own. Take OD measurements of adaptor shown in the photo and tele the Griot people.

    svara: Yes, there are 2 different diameter 3-foot length plastic hoses and rubber adaptors to connect the hoses. The brake bleeder hose kit is available separately.

    svara: Not sure it works with the MV7201, but it does work with the Mityvac 7400.
  • spurningu: What is the size of the replacement hose? Is there something stiffer that won't collapse under vacuum?

    svara: I would check the Mityvac official site to see a hose size and material type.
