And I have dropped the cat stand LOTS of times and I did not break so it is sturdy and can deal with iPhones and all sorts of cases! (I have not seen it tip before but that is just my opinion and other people say different things but on my experience I love the cat stand!) -

svara: Most likely. My Android with box fits and has PLENTY of extra space, it doesn't fit tightly at all. -

svara: I have never dropped this phone stand, but it looks very strong. However I can say that I love it even tho I thought it was too expensive. -

Would this hold a tablet?
svara: I have an iPhone 7Plus and it holds that so it would hold most large cell phones. It would likely hold a Fire 7 but I think anything bigger would be too big. HOWEVER, I think if you ordered 2 of these it would easily work for a large tablet as it would be stable. My wife and I have three of these, and she took some white paint to them to make them match our individual tuxedo cats. We love these and would buy them again.
