The paint can be used like watercolor when thinned out slightly, and it is easy to layer. Williamsburg oil paints can be used by beginners and intermediates alike. A dropper and a linseed oil are needed for precise mixing. However, one user had a disappointing experience with a gold paint from this brand. It didn't adhere to the canvas well and had an odd texture. Nonetheless, the majority of users had very positive experiences with these paints.
