The Delphi FG0358 Fuel Pump Module is a level sensor that is only used for Duramax diesel engines. It comes with a new O-ring and a protective sump around the suction from the tank. The module does not include the snap ring. The fuel gauge not working could be resolved by replacing this module as it is a direct fit on a 2005 2500HD Duramax. The module is expensive, but it is a perfect replacement and will last a long time. However, replacing the module may require cutting the quick disconnect fitting off the old pump and using ring clamps or replacing the fuel line if you have a rusty high mileage truck. It can be a challenging task to access the fuel pump, so it is recommended to get the good one to avoid doing it again.
