    svara: You can use it under deep fat fryers, crock pots, coffee pots, toaster ovens, and other electric appliances.

    svara: The mat measures 8 inches wide and 20 inches long.

    svara: Yes, it has a non-slip rubber backing to prevent movement on your counters.
  • spurningu: There's rubber on the bottom of these. Does it discolor wood or stone after long use?

    svara: No it does not.

    svara: Technically, yes. Aesthetically, no. The edges are rolled under for a “finished” look. Cutting it down would expose a sharp copper edge and the under layer foam mat. Not a nice look. They come in various sizes. I’m sure you could find a smaller size to fit your need.

    svara: I would not advise it unless your burners are far apart, the bottom and copper top will singe with high heat or open flame.
