This particular model features a 12/11 configuration, with 12 courses of strings crossing the treble bridge on the left and 11 courses crossing the bass bridge on the right. In total, there are 23 courses, each consisting of 2 strings.
To enhance your playing experience, we have included a pair of two-sided dulcimer hammers. These hammers are made from lacewood with sheesham trim and feature a leather pad on one side, allowing you to create a softer sound. Additionally, you will receive a tuning tool and a convenient drawstring bag to keep your hammers and tool organized. Crafted from light-colored hardwood, the soundboard of this hammered dulcimer is not only visually pleasing but also produces exceptional sound.
The sound holes are adorned with two intricately designed sheesham rosettes, featuring a vine and leaf pattern. For optimal tuning, this dulcimer includes 46 metal tuning pegs threaded into the body, along with 46 metal end pegs located opposite the tuning pegs. The sheesham bridges have color-coded saddles on top, allowing for easier playability. To achieve the recommended tuning, please refer to the owner's guide for the precise measurements. The 1211 Hammered Dulcimer strings are set with a 1" spacing between each string course.
You can easily tune the strings using the included "T" shaped tuning tool, ensuring that you achieve the perfect sound every time. Measuring 34.5" in length, 4" in height, and 14.5" in width, this instrument is made of sheesham wood. The back of the body has an opening that can be used as a carrying handle, making it convenient for transportation.
