By doubling and twisting the ends of wires, it is also possible to solder them into the tiny holes, allowing to 'duplicate' the GPIO and move the plate to another area inside the Raspberry's case, for example, for a fan or a small battery-powered uninterruptible power supply (UPS), without blocking the GPIO on the Raspberry's board.
