Metroid Dread is the fifth game in the franchise and is a continuation of the story from Metroid Fusion. The game comes with excellent graphics, sound, animatronics and environment which makes it a worthwhile challenge for both Metroid fans and those new to the series. The gameplay and exploration are loyal to its previous editions, and the missions and puzzles provide an exciting experience. However, the game does not display any significant improvements on older installations, and exploration is restricted by the skills and equipment that the players hold. The players must gather energy tanks in pieces, and although there are separate ammunition/health loading stations, it's unclear why they're necessary. The game supports eight amiibo and two new amiibo featuring Samus and Elaine the E.M.M.I from Dread come with extras such as missiles and energy tank refill. The E.M.M.I in the game are powerful enemies but counterable with the X button at the right time.
